McLaren Shadow semi-finals, where each of the drivers will be competing across a number of different titles, including rFactor 2.New Patch released on the 28th of November 2018, version 1.1112.Zandvoort will be released this week with all layouts, night lighting, rain effects - so a 1.0 release.Once real data is received (in a few months) from wet racing from one of the teams, wet grip will be adjusted.Dynamic track temperature will be implemented but have to make sure all content is playable as many mods have been made with one temperature for the tyre in mind.Dynamic clouds can be tweaked to improve on what rf2, 'not a lot, but a bit better'.Shadow improvements are possible with new techniques & are looking at improving.Overlays will be based on HTML and will arrive with the new UI (end of Q4 2018 - end of Q1 2019).A new collision system is not being considered.Competition - there will be a match-making system.UI & Competition System in HTML creates a host of (online) features and opportunities for leagues, for e.g., allowing another player to step in and change your settings, and you head out and try it at your end (a team experience). No implementation of Nvidia's RTX at this stage of the products cycle.Night lighting adjustments being implemented too - with the new material system cars won't look so flat & night 'reflectivity' being looked at.It's WIP and 3-4months away from being released.shaders on different layers now possible (so now metallic and two-tone paint possible as well as different materials being able to be reflected correctly) - up to 6 different materials can now be represented on the car body creating diversity and realism of car representations.currently car shaders have been done but now need to work on road, car and other material shaders. They have made new car shaders on the new lighting models (physical base rendering).New lighting system (ambient lighting already implemented), so now working on new shaders.Still developing graphics engine that has been going on for 4 months and are currently 50% through development (graphics and graphical improvements).Minor texture fixes in cockpit (mainly visible while in VR) Minor physics adjustments based on BOP testing Fixed VR 'mirror screen' flickering at track load Added new parameter to UI 'Stabilize Horizon' This allows users three levels of visual damping. Fixed brake disc glow not blending correctly on certain cars Globally adjustment to positioning of garage exit crewman Optimized performance when running post effects at MED/HIGH /ULTRA Launch of Sebring International Raceway (high detail laserscan): Launching rFactor 2 first laserscanned track: Sebring - it will cost 8£ / 9€ / 11$ at beginning. For next month (August 2018), Reiza rF2 Bundle.BOP and handling adjustments for GT3 and GTE Endurance pack.New feature for VR users: “Stabilize Horizon”.rFactor 2 will be again part in McLaren eSports competition, "McLaren Shadow Project", the successor of "World's Fastest Gamer".Please see gpl.txt or for more information. This software is distributed under the GPL v3 license. Please feel free to contribute, fork, give feedback, etc. It's not of much use, unless you implement the same client code on your own hardware dashboards! SimTelemetry.Peripherals contains communication code for some personal peripherals I made to enhance my own racing experience. rFactor2 is very old build from the initial beta version (from January) rFactor1 support is good, GTR2 is decent. SimTelemetry.Game are plug-ins for various simulators. This viewer is made in the project SimTelemetry. I'd be wonderful to synchronize this to something like MoTeC, but unfortunately their format it propriatary. This application runs an optional data logger as well, which may be useful to analyze the car telemetry. LiveTelemetry is the main application with a live screen of the track includes track map, live timing sheets and car information (like tyres, brakes, gauges, fuel usage, engine wear). The purpose is to create a DIY, independant telemetry system for both realtime and plotable telemetry.Ĭurrently the software resides with 2 applications and several subprojects. This software is still under development.
